| Mrs. Adam Stirling of Des Moines was the owner of “Imp. Brigadier,” a Shetland Pony. Mrs. Stirling was a Shetland exhibitor at the Fair in the early 1900s. She evidently was so proud of this pony, she had a photo of it made into a postcard! In 1910, there was a record of 160 ponies entered in breeding, harness, and saddle classes, judged by Prof. W. J. Kennedy from Ames, Iowa. |
