| This circa 1930s view looking north shows the old 4-H Dining Hall and other 4-H buildings. The Dining Hall opened about 1923. During the 1930s, it was a custom to hold evening candle-lighting ceremonies on the hillside near the Pine Crest and Hill Crest Lodges. 4-H members would light one candle for each Iowa County to “carry home the inspiration of the 4-H State Fair Camp.” |
